Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to MantaBid websites, accounts, marketplace features, communications, and related services (the “Platform”). By using the Platform, you acknowledge the practices described here.

We may collect the following categories of information:

• account and contact information, including name, email address, telephone number, password credentials, company name, country, and business category;
• business profile information, including descriptions, websites, social links, logos, structured company and contact details (such as business address, WeChat ID, employee count, year established, and production capacity), product listings, public certifications, additional attachments, company album images, and private seller verification documents submitted for review;
• marketplace content, including RFQs, quotations, prices, order requirements, attachments, messages, reviews, and support requests;
• purchase and credit records, such as packages purchased, credits used, transaction status, and billing-related records. Payment providers may process payment details directly where applicable;
• technical and usage information, including IP address, browser, device, access times, referring pages, interactions, authentication cookies, and analytics data; and
• information stored on your device, such as an unfinished RFQ draft and its attachments, where that feature is used.

We use information to:

• provide, secure, maintain, and improve the Platform;
• create accounts and authenticate users;
• publish and review RFQs, listings, quotations, and profiles;
• verify seller identity and business authenticity;
• facilitate communications between buyers and sellers;
• administer credits, purchases, support, and service notices;
• measure Platform usage and performance; and
• prevent fraud, enforce our terms, comply with law, and protect users and MantaBid.

The Platform uses essential cookies for authentication, security, and session continuity. We may also use analytics technologies to understand traffic and feature usage. You may restrict cookies through your browser, but essential Platform functions may then be unavailable.

We do not sell personal information. We disclose information only as reasonably necessary:

• to other buyers or sellers when required for marketplace participation, a quotation, or communications;
• on seller public profiles and marketplace listings, where sellers choose to publish company details, contact information, certifications, additional attachments, and company album images. Private verification documents submitted for staff review are not shown to other users;
• to contracted service providers acting on our instructions, such as Supabase for authentication, database, and file storage, and providers supporting hosting, email, analytics, or payments;
• when required by law, legal process, or a competent authority; or
• to prevent fraud, address security issues, enforce agreements, or protect legal rights and safety.

Platform account, marketplace, and uploaded-file data is principally stored using Supabase. Because MantaBid serves users worldwide, information may be processed outside your country. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no electronic system is completely secure and absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

We retain information while an account is active or as needed to provide the Platform. A user may request account deletion by contacting support. We will delete or anonymise associated personal information when reasonably practicable, except where retention is required for legal compliance, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, enforcement, transaction records, or secure backup cycles.

You may update available profile information through your account and may contact us to request access, correction, or deletion. We will honour rights required by applicable law after reasonably verifying the request. Public marketplace content may remain visible until removed or the related account is deleted.

The Platform is intended for business users aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this Policy when our practices or legal obligations change. The revised version will be posted with its effective date. Material changes may also be notified through the Platform or by email.
